If you find a flea on your skin the only way to kill them is to pinch them between two fingernails, their bodies can not be crushed. And I wouldn't worry about them as long as the kitty is around, fleas will prefer animals to humans a million to one.

dude, perfect solution i used on my dog: olive oil! at least, if your dog is trained not to eat olive oil, i had to do that when i first got him cuz my parents said olive oil is used a lot in dog stuff...they were wrong about the olive oil part, but the training was a good thing...they also said that spinach is used in dog food too.......no...

he is quite correct. dogs have "anal glands", and if they arent drained by a vet periodicly, they get infected and itch, hence the ass-dragging on the floor. my dogs got full so freequently we just finally had them removed. much cheaper than the vet charging us to stick his fingers up my bassett's ass.
